504 Gateway time out steemit.com offline ? try busy.org !
the domain steemit.com is giving an error this morning in Europe time.
what is a 504 error you would ask me ?
The 504 Gateway Timeout error is an HTTP status code that means that one server did not receive a timely response from another server that it was accessing while attempting to load the web page or fill another request by the browser.
I have said in the past that steemit is centralised it's steem the blockchain that is decentralised. Now for your security your accounts are safe on the blockchain don't worry too much even if steemit.com got attacked your private keys are not stored on their servers.
Now you can try busy.org it's a clone of steemit and works fine, I am actually using it right now to post this. If you were going to go further you could download the steemit github and setup a web server on your machine to access a local steemit website but that might be to advanced for most of the peeps out there I think sticking to busy.org is fine, log in with your posting key and enjoy a new flavour of using the steem blockchain.
I'm sure steemit.com will come back soon we can keep steeming no major problem :-)

it is I wish there was more steemit clone to chose from but busy is doing a pretty good job so far thanks for passing by ;-)

yeah I was wondering what was going on, some maintenance maybe or was it under attack? Busy.org is interesting to use, very user friendly though.
