Will Steemit Reinvent Media? - Behind The Scenes
We recently had another BitSpace Steemit workshop!
Our meeting had quite a funny prelude, with the radiator on one of the crew members' cars overheating. Cue three other crew members rushing to the scene with kettles, mugs and miscellaneous water containers to save the day, followed by a lot of pushing and flailing of arms to get the car parked before the meeting.
After the workshop we filmed the "Will Steemit Reinvent Media?" video:
We chose a scenic view outside and set up our camera equipment, consisting of a Panasonic HC-X920, a Rift Labs Kick LED light, a Zoom H1 portable recorder and a RØDE SmartLav lapel microphone.
We hadn't quite taken into consideration that a metro line was running right behind our idyllic park setting, and the shoot was constantly interrupted by the loud roar of a train going by, followed by laughter from the crew.
The meeting had run late into the day, and even with the long Nordic summers, dusk eventually got the better of us, and the ending clips in the film ended up in the dark. Our LED light saved us. It was only purchased the day prior, after a lot of convincing from our cameraman, who felt that we really ought to take care of the "lights" part of "Lights, camera, action!"
Overall we were happy with the shoot. We all had fun filming and hopefully this will be the first of many BitSpace Production videos!
