Screencast on image uploading on steemit - the better approach
Why do you add images to your blog post?
By using images you increase the chances of visibility of your posts. Check out the most successful blog posts on steemit and you will find out that most of them will use images in their posts.
How do you include an image on steemit?
- you can use a 3rd party image hosting provider e.g. imagsafe.org, imgur.com, etc.
- or you upload your images to https://ipfs.pics which uses the IPFS protocol.
Why use the IPFS protocol and not the usual server/ client solution?
- In a server client solution files are not distributed and can only be found on the server
- If the server administrator needs the disk space he can just delete the file and you have a dead link
- On IPFS your unique file will be distributed on many peers
- Unique file names on the protocol level
