Voting power deficit on Steemit??

It may just be me but does voting activity seem a little light in the last couple of days compared to normal?

I'm just wondering if people went Power mad following Hard Fork 19 and used most of their power in a couple of days. Or maybe more people are on holidays.

Anyway, it doesn't put me off writing posts. I think it's very difficult to predict how popular your posts will be. You might get $1 for one post and $100 for a post you consider to be of a similar standard. I find that writing content generates ideas for future content so the return from an article you write doesn't necessarily stop after your final payment has been settled.

I was thrilled to reach a big milestone today of 2000 followers. So, to the new followers, my piece of advice would be to stick with Steemit and be prepared to make little or nothing at the start. Rewards will come with time, patience and good content. Or you could just by 10k of Steem Power and you'll get at least $6 for every post you write from yourself. If you choose the second option, now is probably a good time to do this ☹️.

Gratz on the followers! Have Also been noticing a little cutback in voting I guess.. on the other hand, keep doing what you are doing. 2000 followers is big! I will hit 200 tomorrow i guess.. we will see!

Congratulations.Good point, I agree. As a new member (2 and half weeks old baby) I see unconsistent rewards but still know that I will be a very big success. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work

Agreed. Steem 20% down (to the $). I agree on the content comment also. I looked at some major contributors and their early posts were pulling in a few $ per post and now they are pulling in $1000 a post! I believe its all down to consistency and good content.

And congrats on the2k followers! I just reached 100 and I can only dream of 2k!!

You got me thinking, followed you

Hi, I felt the same thing, couple of days after HF19 everthing was great, high payouts ... but now it's so different, I think people used all the SP LOL !
To be honest I did the same

I think you've got a point I've noticed a bit of a slow down perhaps everyone went mad who knows. Cheers mike

By the way was that information accurate 10k for a $6 upvote doesn't seem a lot?? Cheers mike

Yes, I've seen the same. My voting power is half what it was..

Hopfully, things will pick back up.

maybe people are too busy panicking and watching coin price charts on the exchanges...
the steem chart still looks hopeful to me, though i'm no expert... on the daily chart it bounced off the median line on the bollinger band and seems to be fighting back. maybe it can recover. traffic here on steemit has picked up alot recently i hear, so the fundamentals seem good if the platform is beginning to take off... having the polo wallets out of action could help too if no-one can get their steem onto the exchange to sell... gotta hope the panick dies down before they come back online again i guess...

For people(minnows) that like to keep Voting power above 70%, they don't have many upvotes to make(since each upvote takes 2%[You told me that] of power, hence lesser number of upvotes from them. Now unfortunately(or fortunately) I have a tendency to upvote whenever i see a good post which has cost my voting power to go down to 40%(yeah i know i am screwed big time).
