Today is being celebrated as emancipation day here in Jamaica. This was the day where the slaves were freed from the bondage of slavery on August 1, 1838.
As such today is a public holiday to commemorate the day.

I particularly love this song because of its motivational value . In today's world many people suffer from the new form of slavery , mental slavery.
I consider mental slavery to be something that holds a person back from being his/her best. This could be an abusive relationship, a level of thinking that prevents you from progressing, and college graduate who thinks he/she has to get a job not knowing they could also create one.

Whatever your mental block is do whatever you can to emancipate youself from mental slavery and watch your life progress.
