I've very new to Steemit and still learning the ropes, but as far as social media goes, one of the dangers is 'fake news stories', false doubt, or misinformation. It will be interesting to see if a community that is curated by itself can hold up against these dangers. Especially once it gets really popular or goes 'mainstream'.
