Shitpost Is Shitpost

Hello Everbody,

As you know there is an ongoing hard fork and rewarding system discussions. In this post, I wanted to declare my opinion on 75% author 25% curator reward 50/50 author and curator reward change.

In this rewarding system change, I think you are expecting that the good and quality content will rewarded by trusted curators and served by them to you. It is just an illussion. It supposes that someone trusted serves you quality and good content. I am mostly in an author role because of this I won' t go to a rhetorical argument. When there is no author, there is no curator. Resteemimg or upvoting is easier than just writting a word. It is also same for their codes and bytes that needed for these functions.

I just wanted to say that If you believe in that all these contents are shit. let you reward this shit, don't reward those who serve you this shit on a gold plate.

I think that, It must be 99% author and 01% curator reward.

Thanks for interest.

I too oppose the 50/50 reward change. NO ONE has shown any stats or data as to how many upvotes MORE we will need to make the SAME amount of money. This change will NOT make curators upvote more, it will make writer write less, and quality will go down. It is so frustrating. "Oh, you're not getting as many upvotes as you deserve? Ok,let's reduce your rewards too." People advocating for it say we will get more upvotes or we will not lose money. SHOW ME THE STATS AND HARD EVIDENCE. No? Got none? Then leave things be.

I absolutely agree with you @binkyprod

It's a sad day for Steemit

IDK. Am I the poorest person on earth? None of my friends don't prefer to use this platform even they are paying for it. =) Huh There is already facebook, instagram, twitter. What is the expectation? A Stephan King writting for 1 cent? It is under 1 cent already. And people come and criticise you how ever they want.

Great my friend, i agree 100% with you, curators care only their interest, if in the community a big scam happen like @magicdice, they open arms and say, we cannot do anything, steem blockchain is decentralized.... WTFBS!!!

I've seen these arguments in various posts.

Those who want to take away the rewards from posters (authors) have stated, again and again, that we authors are wrong if we think we contribute to the success of steemit. It is only the curators who do.

Are these people financial wizards? Just because they can code, they think they understand ethical marketing and economics.

The only thing they understand is how to motivate themselves by minimising the reasons for posters to stay here (as with all socialists, they demand we kill the goose which lays the golden eggs).

Dear @arthur.grafo

Those who want to take away the rewards from posters (authors) have stated, again and again, that we authors are wrong if we think we contribute to the success of steemit. It is only the curators who do.

How wrong are those people. It seem that the biggest concern is "how to bring price of STEEM" higher. HF21 is a step in very dark direction and regardless how much I love steemit - my faith in future of this platform is currently dying.

Are these people financial wizards? Just because they can code, they think they understand ethical marketing and economics.

I think those people know exactly what's happening and are trying to feed masses with their own vision and propaganda. Reality is that we will experience "milking the cow" to the limits. Right now whales will stop powering down because it will be very profitable to be a stakeholder. So selling pressure will die down in a short time. In a long haul it's very very risky move.

Piotr

I hope you are right - about the price firming, as I will cash out if they change the percentages...keepin enough here for helping one or two people I enjoy helping...but even that cannot last long once I am no longer earning.

I had a strange experience. I saw a post by someone with SP2.5. I was shocked to see she has been posting since early 2018, but she can only post once a month, when her energy has grown.

I immediately made a delegation, told her she has one month to strengthen herself and she promised to try hard.

She did, but then I saw her make a payment to someone of Steem 0.88. I checked that persons account and got angry. He is making over SP200 per week, obviously taking fellow-Venezuelans for a ride, as his blog page states he is able to grow investments.

I told off the person I am helping and she explained, the person does not invest the money for her, he accepts Steem and pays them in local money in Venezuela. She explained she needed the money for the family, for food.

It made me feel like crying - that a family can see $0.30 as 'helping' them to feed themselves.

I am now trying to think of a way that allows them to keep their dignity while I help with a few STeem per month. The poster is a child and I do not want her to change and learn that others should help.

Any ideas?

PS: She has kept her word and not drawn another cent - and her SP is about 30 now. I'll leave my delegation with her until she has over SP60, but her earnings mostly come from me buying votes for her.

One person must have worked out what I am doing, for they made one vote of over SP5 for her....a pity there are not more good 'whales'.

Dear @bidesign

Thank you for sharing link to your publication with me.

I fully aree with your words. "It is just an illussion.". Someone out there has a vision and is trying to force that vision, against obvious growing opportunities for abusers.

Basically I see this change as something that will surely bring me more financial benefits. But in long run it's an exteremly wrong decision to reward those who create value (authors) and increase rewards of those who are here for speculative/financial reasons.

Resteemimg or upvoting is easier than just writting a word.

Very true. And auto-voting (so called currating) will allow so called "whales" to grow even faster.

Basically we will experience "milking the cow" to the limits. Right now whales will stop powering down because it will be very profitable to be a stakeholder. So selling pressure will die down in a short time. In a long haul it's very very risky move.

Piotr
