A by-product of work - Money *Motivation*

Disclaimer: Some people may not agree with me this time, there are my thoughts and I see this the most normal way.

There is one thing that rules the world, a thing that gives people power, rights (sadly) and freedom. That one thing can also destroy lives, relationships and the world. That one thing.. is money. $$$
Everyone is chasing it, and some succeed. Most don't.
But the real question is - is it worth chasing it that much?
My answer would be NO.

Money should be a by-product of your work. Do the things you like, so work in a place you actually like and enjoy. That way the everyday things you do, don't bring down your personality, and as an reward for doing the great work for the stuff you actually like, you get money. The life is not that long to hustle doing things you absolutely hate just to make some money and still do it your whole life. Better enjoy what you do, maybe at first it wont earn you that much, that is a chance, but is your likings and mood worth just couple of bucks? I doubt that. Do your own thing, don't be depending on other people.

I personally find Youtubers most inspiring in these things, in my case Roman Atwood with his "Smile More"
He is a pure preview on how it should be done, he has spent a big part of his life working in a factory, etc. He hated it, and actually was falling apart, because he hated it that much. Then he started making videos, that he absolutely loved. Then all he did was make videos on the start of YouTube when there were just couple of thousand users. At first he didn't even earn any money for it, he just loved doing that work. And in the first half year or so, he earned his first half a dollar. He was happy about it, and his family supported it, because he was doing what he loves. Look at him now... At the point of being one of the richest Youtubers out there... doing what he loves. And that should be an example for everyone, showing that working in places that you dont like and hate, won't bring you a happy life.. Do what you like, and you may succeed! If you fail, learn from mistakes and get back up, keep on marching!

Also this is dedicated to the writers that we have here, I would guess that they are doing stuff they actually like - writing. And they are living of it, Steemit for them could be just a start, I bet they have bigger plans for their future. But seeing them in the first page of Steemit is a proof that it can be done!

Hear, hear! It's been interesting watching what's going on in my mind with this platform. I write one story and it earns a little. I write another and... crickets. While some level of success (we've each got to define that for ourselves) is needed to keep us going, in the end, there's got to be a sense of creating for the love of creating. That's what we can control - did I do my very best on that piece? The satisfaction that comes from putting a new creation out there is rewarding on its own - and drawing at least a small audience adds to the joy of sharing it.
