Ways to make Steemit Grow Faster - Can the Competition end, Thanks!
Being on Steemit for 2 months and a bit now I have already seen major problems that hold back the growth of Steemit.
- Remove the Follower Option/ No More Followers
- Daily earning limit of $100 or however much is needed to maintain the reward pool.
Adjusting these two things will have great impact on the platform the reason why would be the following:
The Top Posters could still easily reach a $100 income a day if they post 'quality content' of course.
(Many times they don't post quality content yet still get an insane amount of votes because of the Follower system, which is just another word for Pyramid system, which keeps the rich getting richer and the poor remain poor.)
There are People who are always in the trending tab but not because of quality post just because they have followers that wanna cash in on the popularity of others, or tits.
THE BENEFITS OF SUCH A CHANGE:
1. Other people who are not yet Members on Steemit would realize you don't need to build up a follower base in order to earn, and will be more likely to join Steemit.
(I once came to the conclusion that only 5% of the Member base is active)
2. As a result, steemit will grow 50-75% Faster than it already has.
(And the Daily activity would go from 5% to at least 15%-30%)
3. In later stages, the Daily Limit that is allowed to be Earned can become greater according to the growth of steemit itself.
I have seen many times problems being posted about the reward pool getting drained, well nothing is really being done about it to make it stable. the obvious problem is not the new people that abuse it, they are showing you that the system is flawed, but the ones that are doing it since steemit's inception are the problem.
If you have around 550 followers like me that means you only have around 10 Real Followers
If you have around 1000 Followers you have around 20-50 Real Followers
If you have around 2000-4000 Followers You have around 100-200 Real Followers
So basically Followers don't mean anything it just doesn't, Followers basically means "Oh! you earn a lot so i'm gonna post something on your post so in the hopes, I get visibility on my post, I actually don't care about your post Jinx!"
This is why i have been authentic from the start and posted on that which interests me and that which deserves to be resteemed i will resteem and that what doesn't, can fuck off thank you very much.
Its just a sponge, a pyramid system atm.
It's no better than facebook or any other social media at this time.
Just the same idea but rebranded.
And if the platform doesn't make changes you will continue to see a 5% activity and a further Pyramid scheme unfold.
And eventually, the price of Steem itself won't move at all, and it's clearly visible isn't it, For how long has the price been stagnant?.
One other thing would also be to allow people to instantly create a Tag in the database for topic expansion.
The hastle of doing it right now just sucks.Integrate the Steem.chat into steemit itself. To create an invironment of community.
Separating chat from the official Platform basically isn't complete. Its sloppy
THESE FEW THINGS ALONE HOLD THE POTENTIAL FOR STEEMIT TO GROW MASSIVELY
And to the top earners who make $200 a day or more, i'm not after your money, I couldn't care less, but what I do care about is the fair distribution of quality content because that is what steemit stand for right? well it should be but right now it does not.
If these changes are made then EVERY POST has the Potential to Rise to the Top, EVERY SINGLE ON OF THEM.
Think about it let it sink in so that it can raise you up and make you understand what im talking about.

This is a primitive/ordered form of community that we used to have before monarchs, where the one with better muscles used to get all the food.

yup the main thing is the follower system it creates a barrier that keeps worthy quality content from being seen.
so that's why so much of the member base is not active.
The follower system is meaningless. I have almost 1400 followers (I get 5-10 a day) I have no idea who they are except maybe 50. The thing that keeps good content from being seen is spam... bullshit posts. The feed is a steady stream of garbage. It didn't use to be that way. When I started in Nov. it was mostly artists, writers, videographers etc. Then they started marketing it as a social media platform like Fakebook or Twatter... Now every scam artist on the net is here (or on the list).
My first suggestion for improving this place is demonetize comments. That eliminates the upvote beggars and returns money to the reward pool. Putting a limit on payouts is the worst idea yet... it reminds me of socialism. The market should be allowed to determine what a post is worth. The voting needs to become more democratic though. Also there should be more involvement from the devs as far as eliminating ripoff artists- currently some people cut & paste other people's work.
Some friends and I are kicking around the idea of opening another platform for content creators only... who knows...
the spam bullshit posters are there because the system is flawed if it were an equal system it wouldn't happen that much and even if it did happen they only have a limit or earning a day as to not create a draining.
But with $$50-$100 a day you can live a kings life so the top earners don't even have the right to complain. neither is it a bad idea.
Let's talk politically for a sec but it involves steemit pay attention
The structure you are missing is that the form of government called a democracy is what allows for the continuation of what you don't want aka corruption, the form of what you call the republic is the only way to bring to light the things you need, its not because of that there is corruption in former republic system that its not a system you would want.
It is actually highly needed for a evolution in society.
Be that Digitally or Politcally you always need a republic system in order to move forward.
This is btw why Trump was chosen in these times, because the new is coming in as I mentioned many times in my posts, and in the near future Democracy will be gone. because its an old limiting factor of society.
And yes some monitoring needs to be done but to me right now steemit was made to make the CEO's richer and some members on the top to sustain the income for the CEO's.
Thats all i'm seeing right now. i have made $215 in 2 months which is basically nothing. its profit but its nothing. and 50% of that i was able to cash out in Bitcoins and that's it
Steemit does not reward quality content it rewards content that is favored by the top members.
