Now advertising Steemit on Blockchain.info, Just-dice, and soon Coinmarketcap. Steemit's self-sustainable ad campaign

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

First of all I would like to thank you for the overwhelming support on my last post. With the earnings from said post I have expanded my advertisement campaign.

We are now advertising on:

-https://markets.blockchain.info/ with 20.000 impressions in 30 days.

- Just-dice.com for 60 more days.

- Currently in talks with coinmarketcap.

I'm asking others to follow my example, so we can make alot more people aware of steemit. There is referral tracking in place through the link https://steemit.com/?r=youraccountname but it has not yet been decided what the rewards for referrals will be. Please be responsible when using referral links, don't spam them, that will result in a bad reputation.

Here are some banners you can use for advertising. Credits to @pfunk for making them.

This way we can create a user generated self-sustainable advertisement campaign. Using this method it will not be long before a whole lot more people know about Steemit.

Sort:

What you need to advertise is STEEM DOLLARS and STEEM POWER. We need adoption of and demand STEEM DOLLARS so people who earn STEEM DOLLARS from posting on STEEMIT can cash out without selling STEEM and dumping the price.

So if you care about the market cap and price if STEEM and about STEEM POWER then you want to promote STEEM DOLLARs in your ad campaign. It has around 10% interest on the dollar and it's entirely decentralized, crypto based stable. Use the whitepaper to get the exact figures and numbers, show the interest rates, and attract wealthy Bitcoiners to park their wealth in STEEM DOLLARS.

The issue isn't just that people don't know about STEEMIT but people also do not know how to properly invest in it. The ads need to be more diverse, some people need a place to park wealth and get interest on it, some people need a place to earn Bitcoins and can do it by earning STEEM DOLLARS and trading the STEEM DOLLARS for Bitcoins, and you need to identify the different demographics and target your marketing campaign to each demographic.

I'll think about covering that for my next campaign.

dude. I think you found your muse in @dana-edwards :)

I'm spotting you with another campaign running right this moment.

If you'd like we can exchange ideas and timing for our reddit campaigns and beyond, so that both of our campaigns have optimum reach (and optimum overlap). I'm usually to be found in steemit.chat under the same username (@spookypooky).

Cheers, and keep up the good fight!

The issue is if you don't create demand for Steem Dollars then all of us will be trapped with no where to go. People who earn Steem Dollars must trade them for BTC or spend them. Why trade them for BTC? Well because BTC is exchanged for fiat and is more accepted for now.

Create demand for Steem Dollars and we don't have to leave the Steem ecosystem. It closes the loop.

Yes, "Let your Dollars work for you, Steem Dollars return up to 10% interest annually just for holding them"

Or "Mine with your Dollars with Steem Dollars"

After carefully considering it i've decided against it. Steem dollars are just too tricky to advertise with, considering they are $0,80 atm.

Do you have any ideas for a banner incorporating those ideas?

Yes, Mine with your Dollars. 10% interest a year, stable, perfect for merchants. I don't know the best marketing campaign but i think most of the marketing should go to creating demand for Steem Dollars. People always want to earn money or find a job so you don't have to advertise blogging because bloggers are already coming. The problem is what will these bloggers do with Steem Dollars if no one wants them?

And what would be the incentive compared to regular proof-of-stake crypto's?

10% risk free interest? Where else can you find that and from a coin which you know isn't a scam? You can get the same benefit as you'd get from Proof of Stake without any risk of volatility. If you buy a proof of stake coin with $100,000 then in a year that $100,000 could become $10,000 and you still get interest from Proof of Stake but the underlying coin isn't stable. Bitcoin is also not risk free, you have to gamble on whether it will go up. With Steem Dollars you know it's going to be worth around $1 so you can put large buys for it just to have something to hold onto when cryptos are in a depression.

Of course getting people to buy Steem Power is even better but that is not going to help people who need to cash out their SBD.

Understood.

Sounds like a smart advertising avenue to me. The SBD works much like the USDT (https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/tether/) in that it can be an asset of relative safety on the volatile blockchain, without forcing merchants back into fiat or 'hard assets'.

It will be in the future, but not now when SBD is worth $0,77 when it should be way closer to a dollar.

You forgot to mention cryptobettingindex.com I'm the new owner and even if i didn't bothered to clean and update it from the old owner I did put a banner.

thank you clamdu :)

Awesome! Thank you for helping spread the word! Let's put some steam behind those engines!!! :D

You're welcome, I hope I can start an even bigger campaign soon.

Have you thought of advertising on Reddit? Seems like the ideal place!

I will, in next stages of the campaign.

Needs better ad copy though.

What do you mean by this?

I found Steem because of JD advertising. GJ

That's great to hear.

nice, hope more people will join steemit.

The userbase is still growing by alot, partly because of initiatives like this, do you part :)!

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 7.0 and reading ease of 70%. This puts the writing level on par with Tom Clancy and F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Damn spambots

Very good article. I certainly appreciate this post. Stick with it!
