The most COMMON dream people have: Broken Teeth

in #steemit7 years ago (edited)

Recently my wife had a dream of her teeth falling out and she experienced a little anxiety over it. It was fascinating for me to hear about as I have had similar kinds of dreams in the past. I am pretty sure I have heard other people with a similar experiences as well. So with a little research I managed to find out a little more about this phenomena.

Broken teeth in a dream (or teeth falling out) is apparently very common among people of all races and even ancient societies. Modern day Psychologists and Psychiatrists believe that it is a representation of  disruptive challenges and stress.

Getting into more specifics it may also mean:

-  Instability and lack of balance

-  Issues with reliability and trust

-  Guilt and or broken promises

- Fear of loss

Psychologists see dreams as one of the main way's we try to understand the human subconscious mind. The concept of dreams from ancient times up until now has always fascinated people. It is believed that most of our dreams are comprised of mostly garbage day-to-day experiences. However there is a small minority who believe that it could actually be 1/60th of prophetic thought. It is no secret that dreams have played a major role in religious development and doctrine.

Examples of this can easily be seen from biblical records from at least over 3500 years ago. We all remember the dream of Jacob's latter, the Biblical Joseph who interpreted the Egyptian Pharaoh's dreams , even the Babylonian King had trouble finding credible dream interpreters.

So what do you do if you with any dream that seems to weight on your conscious mind? Well If you believe in dreams and you want it interpreted; there is a belief that you should go to someone who will spin it in a positive way. This means that if you went to the wrong interpreter; your teeth falling out could even mean losing your children (obviously a negative interpretation). If you managed to get a good interpretation it could mean you are escaping the daily grind of work and you will become wealthy.

So ultimately we shouldn't freak out with such dreams. It seems that a negative connotation can be positive if it were interpreted as such. Psychologically we only give credence to these dreams if it continues to weight heavily on our minds. In my wife's case, I look forward to the riches she will soon partake of.

Hope you enjoyed, and if you had a similar dream lemme know in the comments.
