Culling the herd: Well its official I just removed the fat

Steemit is a little bit of an obsession for me. Imagine not having to spend a cent;
forcing people to read your mumblings, and sometimes even getting "paid" for it.

As I sit here with my pink mug filled with coffee, I can only think of one thing.. what can I blog about today?

Well I simply didn't know until I realized people I liked started showing up in my home feed again. Last night I decided to take 2 hours last culling my follow list. I went individually through each steem member. I evaluated how long they have been on steemit for, their reputation, or if I just liked them in general. Even if they had a high reputation, and they never comment on my stuff I still removed them for inactivity. Why? Because they themselves were following well over 1200 people!

Those that comment regularly WILL NEVER be removed from my following feed. Simply, if you care about what I say and participate; you are loved!

Think about it, I check steem every so often and browse maybe a couple of pages in the home feed. That means I only see a few of the followed people I like.

Maybe two months ago it was cool to follow you follow me; but trust me it's not worth it in the end.

Some make it, and some don't. I hope this finds it on my followers feed! Some might not even know because their home feed is just like the what's new feed (crowded and you get lost)..

Be well my followers (or those who just happened to read this).

So my advice is to cut the fat.. and yes the pink mug is real.

Follow high quality content creators to see high quality content on your feed. Seems legit. Plus, it's summertime so cut the fat is 10/10 advice

lol you sound like me :) but better

I know what you mean. I always feel bad about unfollowing someone. It needs to be done though. I can only process so much.

Storm Troopers can't shoot straight but I wonder if they can hit targets better with blunt objects? hehe
