The dividend is calculated by taking 40% of the daily profits and distributing them to the holders of MAGIC tokens in proportion to the amount of tokens held. The more tokens that you hold the larger dividend you will receive.

How do I get my hands on MAGIC tokens?

There are a various ways that you can acquire MAGIC tokens:

1. Everytime you place a wager on Magic Dice you will also earn MAGIC tokens. If you decide to play the game you will also accumulate MAGIC tokens. This way is the most risky way to accumulate tokens as you may actually lose money because you are actually gambling with your Steem or SBD.

2. Magic Tokens can also be earned by delegating STEEM Power. Currently you will receive 50 MAGIC tokens daily for every 100 STEEM Power that is delegated. Delegating STEEM Power is a good way to earn MAGIC tokens without gambling and risking your STEEM.

3. The third way to earn MAGIC tokens is through referrals. For each person you refer you will earn 10% of the house edge on all of their bets and you will also receive 10% of their bets as MAGIC tokens. One additional item to note is that the Magic Tokens distributed from the methods above will decrease each time an additional 5% of the total tokens are issued. This means that if you want to accumulate Magic Tokens the earlier you do so the better as it will become increasingly hard to earn these tokens as time goes on.

Currently there is no liquid market for the MAGIC token and the only way that you can make money is through the daily dividends but this is going to change soon! Steem will be supporting Smart Media Tokens in the near future (SMTs) which is what the MAGIC token is.

I currently have a little over 10,000 MAGIC tokens and plan on delegating some of my STEEM power for a few weeks/months depending on the amount of tokens I receive. I am going to try and accumulate tokens before the new features become available which will hopefully increase the value of the tokens. Also as the game gains more users and activity the dividends will increase and the more tokens I can accumulate while they are fairly easy to obtain the larger dividends I will receive in the future as the user base grows.

Other items that may increase the popularity of the MAGIC token and Magic Dice is that they are working on developing more games and expanding into various countries which will translate into larger dividends to token holders.
