Remember... people WANT to upvote your post, but you have to get your content to them! Here are two tricks I've found that actually work!
People here on Steem-it want to throw you an upvote... trust me! I know it doesn't seem that way after a month or 5 of post and not getting anything.
Tip #1:
@minnowbooster - Send 6 SBD and your posts URL in the MEMO. This bot will give your post the running start that it may take! Be sure to use this ASAP when you make a post.
@minnowpond - Resteems your post. I'm not sure how much good this actually does, but it helps morale! :P Send 0.2 SBD to this bot and it Resteems your post to over 4000 followers.
BE CAREFUL OF THE SCAMSTER PROMOTING THEIR STUFF THROUGH TIP MESSAGES.

I'm all for using whatever you can to gain as much upvote potential as possible but a lot of people just starting shell out 6 dollars for a post that will get less than what was put in. Key to doing well is comment well thought out comments on peoples post giving them a reason to follow you and in turn the content you produce will be a representation of your earning potential

I agree with you @empiracoinllc. As soon as I started commenting on posts I started getting thrown the upvotes. A few engaging, well articulated comments can get you a long way on here.

Thanks for the tip @empiracoinllc makes sense now, I was wondering what else to do, so good posts alone wont get you there, good comments get the ball rolling. What amount of follwers would be considered high on this network, is having a thousand a lot? ten thousand?
If your tips work so well, why didn't you use them on this post? I've personally spent more money boosting my posts than I've ever gotten back from it. Your so-called "tips" (which boil down to "spend money") may get more attention to your posts, but you're still likely to lose money on the investment, especially as a minnow.
Tried the winnowpond once and i wasn't even re-steemed. Besides what's the guarantee. I think socialising on the platform is the way forward.
