Promoted Posts: How Will This Change Steemit?

From the beginning, I have thought that steemit will eventually become a micro-economy where users exchange goods and services using Steem. I think promoted posts are the first step in the creation of a "Steemit Market". I would love to see users earning money selling products/services on this platform and I think that this is this could increase the value of the entire platform by increasing demand for Steem. Getting sellers and buyers on here using Steem would be huge because what's the point of a currency that can't be used to purchase goods/services? Curious what you guys think.
