Nice post, one which confirms some of the concerns I have had surrounding these "giveaways" and so on. I think you are correct, if people spend time honestly producing some of their own quality content as opposed to investing that time in ropey "get $$$ quick" posts then they would only progress themselves up the steemit ladder.
