Steem logo Easter Egg spotted in Rick and Morty's Latest Episide!!
What happens when you see our beloved Steem logo in the most loved (also our beloved) show?
It was supposed to be just another mind blowing episode like every other before it. What with it being unarguably the best cartoon show on earth right now. Despite after waiting 2 years for Season 3 before it finally premiered, I still find it hard to wait the few days in between episodes.
However, One of the scene in the latest episode struck me above everything else. I mean... As a Steemian, you will find it fancy too. Just take a look!!
I am no way the only one to point it out though. @ned was so quick to tweet about it, also as soon as the episode aired!!
Surely, this has deeper meaning than just mere coincidence. I would expect anything less from the geniuses Dan Harmond and Justin Roiland who created this show with every detail, every pixel, designed to spark discussion no matter what level of intellectual someone is.
So, What's happening there and why I was interested beyond a simple "Hey Look! Steem Logo!"
Well, get the context, one must understand the episode. Rick and Morty Season 3 Episode 6 - Rest and Ricklaxation...
In this episode, we follow Rick and Morty (grandfather-grandson duo who travels dimensions and universe for fun) who got burnt out in one of their latest adventures (adventures happen almost everyday for Rick and Morty that the adventures themselves only serves as a backdrop to the real story of Rick and Morty) after Rick asks Morty to go with him on what should be "twenty minute tops to get a power crystal". That "twenty minute tops" lasts for for six days and, despite being heroes and Rick getting the crystal, both Morty and Rick finally break down. Over-stressed from non-stop adventures, Rick finally decides it's time for a vacation.
What better vacation than relaxing in the best alien spa in the universe? While there, Rick and Morty decides to use one of the spa's machine that "Detoxify all mental toxic" from whoever that uses it. Upon use, Rick and Morty sees a blinding light and gets tumbled around till they find themselves in a toxic wasteland full of disgusting creatures.
While at first, Rick thought the whole place blew up, he slowly realize something worse, This Rick and Morty we're looking at are not the real Rick and Morty: they are literally the toxicity of themselves, Toxic Rick is a rude, lying, genius asshole part of himself and Toxic Morty being the nervous, pathetic, and self-loathing part of himself.
The real Rick and Morty (Healthy Rick and Morty) leave the spa refreshed after their vacation, Toxic Rick begins plotting a way to get out. After some time, Toxic Rick manages to contact Healthy Rick and tricks Healthy Rick into reabsorbing Toxic Rick back into him.
Which in doing so, Healthy Rick stole the machine which stores the toxic (That's where you see the STEEM logo) in the alien spa and rigged it so that Toxic Rick and Morty enters the real world. Drama ensues and if you want to know more, you should watch the Cartoon. In fact, start from Episode 1 Season 1.
So, why is the logo in the machine so interesting?
Well, as the story shows, the Steem's logo is stamped on a tank of toxic goo that represents all the negative Mental toxicity of everyone who has used it. Kinda metaphorical isn't it?
Is there a message being sent here? The creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon can easily place the easter agg anywhere else. right?
What do you guys think about this wacky Easter Egg? The fact that Steem was given a nod by the creators of the greatest cartoon show (if not the greatest show) has got to be something notable right?

Stay Awesome!
WE ARE EVERYWHERE !! ... BEWARE THE STEEM !!!!
Soon... soon we'll be millionaires. hehehe
Honestly I think this is purely a coincidence. What reason could the makers have to hide a Steemit logo in their show? Has there been any signs of affiliation between Steemit and R&M before?
Coincidence could totally be the truth. Although i find it more entertaining to think somehow Dan and Justin gave a nod.
I also dont believe they would draw a logo there with no purpose. The tank could just be blank without a logo and nothing will be missing from the show. Hence why i think they put it there on purpose.
Could totally be coincidence tho. You're not wrong.

I only watched one episode of rick and morty and it was the"pickle rick" episode. gotta say, I'm impressed with it hahah might consider watching more
"Pickle Rick" shows Rick's the length Rick took just to avoid counseling session. The story arch is that the family is going through a divorce. Which will "makes sense" once you've watched it from the start.
I like Rick and Morty in that, while each episode can be enjoyed as a standalone show. Unlike other cartoons, this show as a overarching plotline.
Awesome!! Who will use it next???
@steemph will be used in somebody's cd album, watch this space!!!
