Blockchain platform Steemit reaches 1 Million users
The company made an announcement on their platform as they hit 1 Million users. @xmlvnx was the millionth username to be registered on the platform. Along with the milestone, Steemit revealed important numbers about the company.
Steemit claims Steem blockchain is being used to make more than a million transactions every day, which is more transactions than other blockchains combined. Also, they claim there are around 60,000 unique accounts transacting on Steem Blockchain everyday. In addition to this, Steemit gets over 250,000 unique visitors every single day.
Towards the end of the post, the company thanked the community for making it happen. The major news did not have a significant effect on Steem’s price. It increased by just 10 cents, going from $2.7 to $2.8 and is currently trading at $2.77. This can be partially blamed on the bear run the whole market has been facing.
After reaching an all-time high of $8 last year, the price crashed and it has been trying to recover ever since. We expect Steem to be one of the top gainers in the coming years and the next bull run due to their consistent progress and performance.
