Crypto 2.0 Part 2

in #steemit7 years ago

In my first post I mentioned some of the ways developers could appeal to the masses. For any product to succeed it must be easy to use and understand. But let's face it, most people don't know what the hell a blockchain is let alone how to mine cryptocurrency. That is why I truly believe mixing games, tasks, and everyday human interactions will take this market into the stratosphere.

People love games almost as much as they love their pets. We are barely starting to see the market reflect this with the introduction of Crypto Kitties. Virtual assets may seem silly to some. But make no mistake about it. It is a billion dollar business that's going to change the way people work and play.

What I love about Steemit is that the platform is crypto 2.0 even before the trend has even changed. Now, Steemit is early to the trend of gamification/pay for task. Others have tried "MTURK" but are not as abundant as Steemit. Now it appears Facebook is jumping on the bandwagon even though they destroyed their Social Currency "Facebook Credits" years back.

So what does the market want? Well, as an early user "hehe" of Bitcoin I would say one thing. People want to earn currency. We don't need another exchange. We don't want another ICO where capital is tied up for years. People want to level up in this currency game. And it appears that the lines between real and virtual are thinning everyday.
