What is Bitcoin Halving....Explained in Simple Concept!

in #steemit3 months ago

Bitcoin halving, is a scheduled event that happens roughly every 4 years, where the reward for mining new Bitcoin blocks is cut in half. This means that the supply of new Bitcoin entering circulation is reduced by 50%. The first halving occurred in 2012, when the reward for mining a block was reduced from 50 BTC to 25 BTC. The most recent halving occurred in 2020, and the next one is scheduled on 19 April in 2024. This halving schedule is designed to control the supply of Bitcoin, making it more scarce over time and potentially driving up its value.Halving is also a potential driver for the bull market which is good news for Bull Run!
