LHC forces restriction on utilization of plastic packs

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday restricted the utilization of polythene packs at all stores, bread kitchens and lodgings across Lahore, ARY News revealed.

The LHC seat headed by Justice Shahid Kareem led hearing on Advocate Salman Khan Niazi's appeal and gave two weeks cutoff time to eliminate polythene packs.

During the consultation, the Environment Protection Department told the court that they are actualizing the high court requests to boycott the utilization of plastic sacks at all stores across Lahore.

Equity Shahid Kareem commented that polythene sacks will be prohibited across Punjab in next stage.

The LHC seat solicited delegates from the Environment Protection Department when they would quit delivering plastic containers.

At which, the Punjab Wildlife Department guaranteed that the request would be executed.

The court at that point suspended the conference till March 13.
