Quest On Tags, Open Question to the Steem Platforms.
Hi fellow steemians.
I wanted to ask a quick question on here so that other people other than discord could see.
The use of the right tags?
When I first joined steemit I used to blog about things and struggle to find the right tags and used what ever I thought was right at the time.
I started using the tag introduceyourself to promote a meet up I was having for other steemians to come and join, and after I had posted maybe 4 times using the same tag I was pulled up about it and asked to remove that tag as it had no reliance.
I use the steem block-chain a lot to either blog or read other peoples work and I find a lot of the posts that I see very interesting.
But when you go to a tag for instance art, there is many in there that are, well not art related.
Shouldn't these fellow steemians be using the right tag? and why did I get pulled up for it if other people can do it and still do it?
I'm not winging I am just wanting to know what the deal is with tags as it does my head in with looking post that are not meant to be there.
I hate tag abuse too. It really just depends on if anyone in that community is policing the tag, or not. Probably most people don't bother, but some do.
@phoenixwren, I haven't talked to you for a while, how you bin?
So talking about policing is there a list of people who is supposed to police the main tags?
It needs to be addressed as it is getting to be a messy platform when you have to scroll through 10 posts to find one that is meant to be there.

No, there's nothing official that I know of. I just have seen some people police certain tags, and we used to police tag abuse on the OHA tag when it was really active. It's just up to people that frequently use or are leaders in that tag to try doing something about it. I don't think there is any structure to it. Probably some tags have zero policing.
