I must admit I am holding back from using the tip service, because of the fact that I cannot specify the amount I want to send.

I understand I can specify a number, but then it is either, for example, Steem0.05 or the recipient could end up receiving nearly triple what I'd intended sending because you found I have some cents in my SBD account, so you gave a tip of SBD0.05
