Google Removed 700K Apps from Play Store for Violating Policies. Many malicious apps are viral now a days which are not only pornographic but also spreads virus to your device. Google has removed 700,000 apps from the play store in year 2017 for violating stores policies. The number has increased from 70 % as compared to 2016. Among total, 99 percent of apps were removed before anyone could install them.

Around 250,000 Apps which were removed were those which were trying to emulate already released apps. It seems that google is trying to clean its store from malicious content. Google is making inroads in taking out those kinds of apps before they are downloaded to billions of Android Users.

Google has launched Google Play Protect Program that automatically scans apps for malicious activity, cut down on the number of app installs in that category greatly compared to 2016.

Google said that some bad apps still need to be removed fro the playstore. Around 60 apps were infected with AdultSwine malware. These apps compelled users in to downloading fake antivirus apps. Many of them showed pornographic images. These infected apps were downloaded up-to 7 million times before they were removed from circulation by Google .
