majority of users are not minnows yet, but the data shows that dolphins are voting a lot more than minnows. Even though much fewer dolphins, they are very engaged. So my guess is that at first people are more likely to be lurkers and only after a while do they start posting and upvoting actively
it also seems pretty clear that what the whale's like, everybody else likes
