Been waiting for Steemit to verify my account!!!

What is going on Steemit? It's been over a week and I still haven't seen an email from you to VERIFY my account! If you want this site to take off you really need a better and faster way to be able to sign up and get verified. Please put some one in charge of making your verification process more efficient.
