Can you get your voting power back if you unvote a post?

I'm new here, so I was wondering the same thing.
I thought I'd get back my voting power if I unvote a post but after voting and unvoting a post, I found out it's not the case, you CAN'T get back your voting power if you remove your vote. So, Upvote Carefully!
