If you wait until you write the perfect post, you will never post anything. The art of writing lies in posting what you write, and not worrying about the quality of the writing,that is for your audience to decide.

You get one point if you finish writing a post that you started.

You get another point for finishing the post on the deadline that you set for yourself, regardless of ‘quality’.

You get another point for seeing your post as an obligation that you worked your day around and you shipped it on time and in a finished form.

You get another point for shipping your post when your self imposed deadline was up, even if it wasn't good enough by your standards, as long as one other person read it and was changed by it. Upvotes and resteems are bonuses.

You get another point for posting it even though it isn’t the best post that has ever been written.

Who decides what the best post is? Gary Vee’s philosophy is it is better to post 7 crappy articles a week than 1 ‘quality’ one. Why? “Because quality is subjective”. Gary Vee gives the example that Michael Jackson thought some of his songs were not good enough to make it on his albums, and those songs ended up being his biggest hits. Like Gary Says “Quality is subjective.” What you think is bad, others may think is good. You will never know unless you ship.

You Gotta Ship What You Have

Perfect doesn’t exist in an area where you are learning and developing your skills. Practice makes perfect.

Seth Godin in “Ship It” says

"You can't keep sitting in your room by yourself and making posts that nobody else reads and calling it art, although it hasn’t changed even one person because not even one person has read it.” You gotta ship what you have, or it isn’t art."

Steve Jobs said “real artists ship” and if you gotta ship often if you’re gonna be an artist.
