STEEM and SBD behavior in 2017

Good evening Dear steemians, on the light of the recent happening with STEEM and SBD I decided take a look at the overall behavior of then along this year.

According to Wiki steemit have been released at July, 4th, 2016, Steemit, considering that cryptocurrencies have been around since 2009 the steem blockchain regardless of its of over year and a half of life steemit. And for such a short of life steemit charts are , in my opinion, really interesting.

Here is an the Steem charts over 2017

As we can see we had one great pum around may and a huge one around jun. I don't really know what happened on May, but I do know that on Jun there was a great number of advertising about steemit laying around the internet. I know that couse It was exactly the month I got aware of steemit existence (due to a youtube add from @jerrybanfield Thank you so much =D) and after that it start a dump trending then it keep oscillating its price between 1$ and 1.6 until October when it keep in aroud 0.9~1$ that is reverting now on December.

We can observe that even with all the oscillation between jun and now steem value have never brake down the support made after may's pump. My guess about the reasons is that whatever happen to cause may's pump looks to be a solid and fundamental appreciation of the steem asset and the big pump of June was more like a local bobble motivated by the advertising euforia, and not for a fundamental appreciation.

If my guess is correct than we might still oscillating in this 1$~1.6$ value while the next fundamentalists good changes are made. On the other hand several good projects and Ideas have being develop over steem blockchain in this Jun~Dec period of time So it is possible that we could have a little elevation on this oscillation, its impossible for me to determine how much but I would say maybe something like 1.2~1.9 $ at least until the SMT or the next Hard fork release. However this is just a guess.

SBD however is much more well behaved. And this is expected since it's Idea is to be a currency that keeps its value around 1$. despite of some punctual big fluctuations it use to keep its value in a quite good way.

I've been told that some of those punctual fluctuations comes from Groups of peoples who "Randomly" chose a coin tu pump and dump in order to make some profits and that sometimes happens with SBD for being a relatively low market cap coin. And I'm also been told that the recent changes was due to the opening to some international exchanges, and markets accepting Steem, and SBD. Both of then does makes sense to me, but I cannot say which or if are kind of both are correct. all I know is that SBD are suppose to be at 1$ and if it's being trading way over it so It might be a bobble, so I wont think twice before sell my SBD on those High prices.

I'm have a really good feeling about how 2018 will influence STEEM and some other altcoins =D
