The First Principles of Crowdism and The Truth About @andrarchy

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

@andrarchy's personal philosophy treats humans as information processing nodes that use communication technologies to create a "super-processor" called the crowd. There's a special surprise at the end you're gonna love, even if you're not a fan of @andrarchy, in fact, especially if you're not a fan. Things get interesting around the 9:40 mark. >:D

Be careful what you wish for #thegame

UPDATE: I Now Control the @andrarchy Account

Now that you mention it, a society processes information much in the same way a neural network functions

I may use that splatter effect in my next painting! I have also written 'I am an information processing node' on my ideas board, so this week may get a little freaky on the art front.
Let the games begin.

Lol.. you're going to drive people who are into Simulation theories crazy, but that's probably the point. lol.

That is some nasty doppelgänger shit going on at the end! I thought that if someone was to meet his double he would die on the spot of a soft instant death resulting from a kind of medusa glare at his own Schrödinger's twin. Nothing like that violent scene, my world's view is now shattered!

I think you have just implemented the need for everybody to step up their game as a steemit creator.

I was talking to my brother about The Game, and he showed me this interesting link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nomic

Nomic is a game created in 1982 by philosopher Peter Suber in which the rules of the game include mechanisms for the players to change those rules, usually beginning through a system of democratic voting.

Almost didn't upvote because of the violence, but unfortunately humans still respond to violence, and we include it everywhere in our game culture. I hope for a day when we can move away from promoting it as a core aspect of our species' search for entertainment, but we probably just aren't there yet. Upvoted because of your creativity, and I've been wondering for a while when you'd shave. :)

I almost feel like we should have a crowd viewing of the 1997 movie The Game and discuss it via a hangout or something. :)

Maybe Steemit is actually CRS???

(btw, I love the idea that humans are information processing nodes and information is ordered reality. Good stuff)

unfortunately humans still respond to violence, and we include it everywhere in our game culture.

Totally agree, man. Unfortunately, the violence is promoted as entertainment.

It's what sells. It's why shows like CSI have high ratings. I once worked with someone who lost a family member to violent murder and she once gave a deeply personal, tear-filled testimony to the company of her experience going to the parole hearings, reliving that horror on a regular basis. It was clear how much she despised those violent crime drama shows, and she let her opinion be known that everyone else should despise them too.

I don't fault the producers of those shows or the networks which carry them. I remain hopeful for an enlightened humanity which doesn't pay to see those movies and chooses not to watch those shows. I'd love to see a voluntary, non-coercive society also. We're not there yet, but I do think we can get there once step at a time by choosing with our attention and purchasing power what we value.

(And to be clear, I'm not knocking @andrarchy here. I really like the creativity he's expressing on this platform and the fresh ideas he's bringing with the game concept. He's a leader in the true influencer sense of the word, and I'm happy to follow along to see where it goes. I may not agree with every aspect of the approach, and I'll thankfully be free to voice my opinions along the way.)

That's true. Thank you, @lukestokes!

Just a little addition from me - we become that man with whom we associate regularly. To associate means to share emotions. Emotions are the most important part of contact. And TV is that very thing which affects us on emotional level. That's why it can change our behavior a lot. And that the same as to change the whole our life. It's a big thing. It's not just entertainment.

We need more shows like Star Trek TNG that delve into the human condition.

excellent! just as i had imagined it and much more! It has finally started. THE GAME!

So hyped about this!! Can't wait for the future ;)
