Pay attention when you transfer STEEM
This morning I wanted to transfer some STEEM to @minnowbooster to lease Steem Power. By mistake I wrote @minnowboster with one o instead @minnowbooster (https://www.steemit.com/@minnowboster) with two o's.
A few minutes later I realized that I didn't get a notification as usual, so I checked out my wallet and saw, that I made this annoying mistake.
I went to https://www.steemit.chat to ask wether someone knows a solution. I had a chat with @twinner who told me from a person who had sent in the past 5.000 SBD (FIVE THOUSAND) by mistake to @polonium instead of sending it to @poloniex and lost the 5.000 SBD this way.
So I want to say two things:
1. Pay attention when you transfer STEEM or SBD, better read 3 or 5 times before pressing the OK button.
2. There has to be an option to reverse transfers within a given time frame.
I don't know much about programing and stuff like this, but even a few banks have a reverse option for transactions within 6 weeks, so steemit should have this option too. Imagine you earn your living with steemit and sent your monthly income to a wrong account by mistake. I mean, there has to be a possibility to undo mistakes.

You are welcome... yeah, please be very carfull and cross check, double check or whatever before making any transactions, because there is no option (at the moment) to get your money back, if sent to the wrong adress... I hope, many people will take a lesson from my mistake...
Sorry for your loss of funds. The blockchain has to have immutable features or it would lose a huge amount of its value and appeal. Once I sent 20 Zcash to my Zclassic address on Bittrex. It's worth $5000 at today's value. Gone forever, or at least until someone cracks the private key with a quantum computer or something.
For future reference. I'm offering a better lease rate on SP than minnowbooster. I have leases of 45.45 SP per STEEM per month.
Thanks @robert-call; yeah, you are right; I mean you can change a post up to 7 days after posting, but you can't change transfers. That's not the way it should be.

Just made the same mistake. Lost 2.5 SBD to a do nothing account that had a similar name as the one I wanted.
