Hello Again Steeeeeeemit

Hi, hey, how's it goin?

I haven't spent much time on steemit, not nearly enough. I am still figuring out how it all works. I would like to know what people think of this place so far? Is steemit a good thing? How do people feel about having to provide their phone number to make an account? Do we just not want anonymity on the internet anymore?

How do you collect your pay if you make some? I can't seem to find out where and how to do that. I am intrigued, but confused. Links, advice, comments welcome!!
