What a week!steemCreated with Sketch.

This last week has been a bit chaotic for me in several ways. I had taken pictures of my harvest from digging all the potatoes out of my community garden plot, and I had taken pictures of a place that I was planning on using for a walk with me post. My old desktop computer ate them when I tried to upload them from the camera, so I lost all of those pictures.

The computer has been getting more glitchy and crashing for the last couple of months, and it kept getting worse. This last week, it got really bad, so I finally had to decide to start using my laptop full time and give up on the desk top. That required copying all my pictures, music, and videos from the desktop to the laptop. That process took several hours to complete. But at least now, I have a working computer...I hope. I also have the learning curve of going from Linux Ubuntu to windows 10. There's a lot of shit in windows 10 that I don't want, but don't know how to get rid of, so that's been "fun".

And then there's this whole problem with the steemit website. I'm sure you've been experiencing it also. It's really been a pain in the ass for a couple of weeks now. I don't know what's going on with it, I'm not tech savvy when it comes to computers, but I sure wish they'd get this shit figured out. These kind of problems are resulting in people leaving steemit. If the platform is barely functional, how many new people are going to continue to try to use it? I've seen people who've been on steemit for several months talking about leaving the platform. That's not going to be good for steem, is it.

The other problem that I've had is low functional mood. The change of seasons does that to me, I have seasonal affected disorder that compounds my clinical depression. I have to be extra vigilant for the signs of impending depressive episode at this time of year, and it tends to get worse in the winter. I have better coping strategies now than I used to, but it still sneaks up on me and knocks me down. I saw my shrink last Wednesday, and that helps, but I still have to pull my own ass out of the well of depression. No one else can do it for me. The shrink gives me ways to deal with my depression, but I have to implement them. That's not always an easy thing to do.

I did at least manage to get in a good walk at the end of last week, the last nice day that we had. It's been cool and wet here for the past couple of days, so I've spent more than the usual amount of time on the computer. Hopefully steemit will start working better and I'll be able to get back to posting a bit more regularly. A person can hope, right?

Well, that's all the complaining that I have for this post. Thanks for stopping by and reading this, if you got this far.

Feel free to leave a comment or a question if you'd like.

And lets all try to keep on steeming on!

Hey Dere, yes I made it all the way to the end with no trouble eh :) Sounds like a really challenging time you have been going through, I would be really upset to lose photos...and steemit, yeah, been pretty much testing my patience.

I'm glad that you have someone to talk to, and that you are willing to try and take some steps, however difficult to bring yourself out of the depression you are feeling.

I'm also glad you felt comfortable enough to share your journey here with all of us.

I've been using busy.org when I cannot access steemit. <3 Hope that helps.

Thanks, eh!
I really need to try using busy, to see what it's like.

Yep you should :) I'm on it right now, upvoting and commenting away, no issues at all :)

I'm trying it out right now, no problems so far. :-)

That's awesome! *Waves at Amber!! :)

Thanks, eh!

A glitchy computer on top of the Steemit gremlins is a combo for frustration. Glad you had a laptop as backup, even tho it has Windows 10. I'm with you in wishing they'd get it fixed.

Fall has finally arrived here, too. Rain and cold the last two days and looking at mid-30's for lows in the coming week. Time to dig out the longjohns...

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to the cold weather.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'll check out that link.
