Notification of appointment

Hello friends! Have I a question in my head several days ago, is possible to know if a person has named you in a comment? 

I explain. 

I have seen that often is mentioned to persons in the post putting his name, for example. @stellabelle, @pfunk, @donkeypong …. (Im sorry for using his names for the test).  

And is my question, how we know if this has happened? If they have mentioned us in some post or comment, there is no indicator.
