Growth equates to value and should follow Metcalfe's Law. The value of the network will be proportional to the square of the active users. To put it simply, every time the active users double, then the value goes up 4 times. Since there is very little cost to run this system, price will mirror value.
It would definitely give more options when exchanges are neglecting STEEM nodes and could potentially give more language options for STEEM owners.
