Time line of Best times to Post on Steemit... Mystery Explained!!!

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

This is a post to give you hand in knowing opportune time to post that excellent piece you have worked so hard on. I have discussed an issue we face in an earlier post and this issue is that of us not knowing how many people are currently on and this means While posting our new Content, we are unsure of the possible size of our audience. This gives you a Throwing the dart while blind folded effect, this being the fact that you may get a hit on the board (Viewers might read and Vote), but you are likely to have a Much better shot with a clear view (Opportune time to post). After writing Close to 50 Articles, I have found that certain times of the day, give you a much better chance for interaction with your posts. I will Explain Below

Morning Time- This seems to be when a high number of people are on and interacting with each other.

7am-9am- Lets face it, most everyone on here has a day time job and can not simply stay on this site all day everyday, however most have become accustom to having that Fresh Cup of coffee and hopping online prior to leaving for work. More activity seems to happen early due to the fact that most of these people also have Families, kids and functions they must attend, so they thrive on getting their posting and voting in First thing in the Morning.

After Noon- Steemit has managed to make itself a vital part of peoples lives, so those people who I discussed in the Morning time section are now at work. This means Lunch time is the right time.

12PM-2PM- This time is crucial in getting in a great piece of content, this is because there seems to be a small window of time to catch the Working class. Most of them hop right on during their Lunch period, which gives them 30 min to an Hour tops to get their Voting and posting in. So make any posts in this time frame Good (Make sure you Title is Catchy).

Night Time- This time can Vary due to time Zones and work schedules, However you must let them eat, then get their attention with some interesting Content.

7PM-10PM- Dinner has been eaten and now it is time to wind down from the stressful work day. Posts in this time frame need to remember that everyone has different lives and not everyone comes home happy go lucky from their work day. Concentrate on something that might make them laugh or Propose an Idea that will wow them. Complaining during this time period is a horrible idea and these posts will be immediately picked apart by any means. Do not I repeat Do Not post hate articles at this time, you will be down voted and the comments will reflect their frustration carried on from their work day.

Weekends- These are of course a toss up, yes people are off work but that does not mean they are all going to be on all the time. Toss up a test post and get a feel for how large your Audience might be. Doing this before typing up that amazing one hour article, that might only get a few hits. Maximize your opportunity.

If you follow these Guidelines you will find better results and also have a better experience. Do not feel that no matter what you do, their is no silver lining, because there is. Believe in what you write, test the waters with some different topics and Compose your Masterpiece from the Results..

P.S... I am in the Eastern Time Zone USA, so adjust the times according to your Time zone...

Hi! This post has a Flesch-Kincaid grade level of 8.8 and reading ease of 74%. This puts the writing level on par with Leo Tolstoy and David Foster Wallace.

What time zone did you post in? Thank you for sharing your experiences with your posts! :)

Sorry I am in the Eastern Time Zone. I am going to update post with that. Totally forgot.

Found your post referenced in the steemd.py documentation. It's something I was curious about and now I don't have to look for it. Thanks!
