what's with this wacko https://steemd.com/@asshole that @anonsteem created earlier today that's been going around trying to cause havoc and going on a flagging/downvoting rampage?! interesting to see how the system deals with this kind of obvious abuse.
AnonSteem can't police what users do with their accounts, nor would we want to.
Generally the network prevents abuse by requiring a large amount of SP before that user could do any real damage. Similarly the person needs a higher rep than the person they're flagging before they can even damage their rep.
when I said "the system", I meant steemit even moreso than AnonSteem, since such abuse can of course originate from anywhere. I had simply noticed in this case it originated here, and I was trying to figure out what was going on. It seems like it could be more of just a nuisance troll-bot trying to bring more awareness to potential flagging/downvoting issues on steemit:

Perhaps the silver lining in events such as these, however, is that it does inspire everyone to reevaluate if anything can be improved before someone really tries to maliciously "break" the system in a more "aggressive" way.
