Something Very Interesting I Noticed: Notable Bloggers/Internet Marketers Back Then Don't Even Talk About Us
And by 'us', I mean blockchain and cryptocurrency in general.
I was touched by curiosity the other night and decided to do a little research.
I typed in "[Blogger/Internet Marketer/Author + crypto/blockchain/Steemit] on Google.
I barely got any results. Typing in Steemit would only reveal articles on Steemit itself where someone here decided to mention them.
Now these people I was searching for were very prominent, successful and even famous across the blogosphere.
They made a ton of money, like six-figures.
They had a large following across their social media channels.
They had a fan base.
They gave talks and all as they traveled across the world.
Yet... literally nothing from them when it comes to blockchain or crypto.
I can only surmise:
- These guys are not prominent to the world, only to their fan base. Think about this very carefully and think about the people you look up to today. Were you suckered into something? Were you manipulated? Were you bought over?
- Only Gary Vaynerchuk and Seth Godin talked about it and these two are trendsetters. There's a difference between a person with a vision and a person who's just positioning himself to look important when in reality, they're there to only bank in on the trend. Sounds like many Steemians who came here for a bit and then left when the price of Steem went down huh?
- These bloggers and internet marketers mostly make a living in the 'how to make money online' niche. Therefore, they're scammers. Yes, I said it before and I'll always say it again, anyone in this sleazy niche are nothing but scammers. They'll NEVER leave this nest of theirs then.
- They don't see a point of entry yet from a perspective solely to make money. Adding value? Changing the world? Helping others like we do here on Steemit? Pfft. That's bullshit to them.
- We're not mainstream enough yet.
- They rather create a business out of thin air and apply marketing to make money. In other words, they believe in the contrived. Very unlike the basic beliefs, faith and looking into the future with what we have here.
Personally speaking, I hope they butt out and never come here.
Although I am sure when we hit mainstream levels, they're going to find a way to cash in on us.
What do you all think?
Nice information. Didnt read all of it but got the idea
Keep posting and stay blessed
They are the people I refer to as the cancerworms of progress.if they don't butt out we kick them out.
I was just thinking the other day about how we need to play at their level to really fuck them up.
That means, like it or not, calling them out on social media, screenshots, bitchiness, drama etc etc.
It's like they can only understand that.
Well said
Thanks upvoted!
I don't understand why these bloggers/internet marketers you speak of, are the only ones to validate cryptocurrency.
I may have implied that, but nah. No way. They're the worst. Fuck'em.
I think a lot of them are set in their habits, just posting the regular stuff and earning the usual on the ad networks. They have been doing this a while, and it is the easy way for them, cashing out on a regular basis.
They also got their followers, and a community built upon them. It might be they have not even heard of Steemit, it is not on mainstream media's antennas yet.
I had no clue myself when I was directed here in November. I even had no intention to start a blog, yet here I am, working daily on @theDolphin.
The big names WILL come as their followers get more used to the crypto world. Some will get into it themself, but I bet most of them will still earn their wages as today, by advertising channels and promotionals.
As someone who has seen how they work and everything, I can only imagine what kind of scammy bullshit they'd bring to the crypto world.
