Steemit as a Way to Break Free from Constraints of Regular Jobs and Pursue Your Passion from Anywhere, Anytime

Imagine this - You're walking through the green forest on your way across the mountain with backpack and a dog next to your leg. You're listening the birds song, watching the trees sway and creak and feeling the fresh air fill your lungs. You stop on a small clearing near the stream and decide to rest, put up a camp and maybe go for a hunt for mushrooms, chestnuts and wild berries. You prepare a boiling soup in a kettle over campfire, log on to a newest MMORPG and afterwards, hop on to Steemit to tell about your adventures, your training for amateur druid and greet other members of the community. Sparrows wake you up in the morning as you go to the stream to take a bath and then, like a young king of Gondor, continue on your quest through the woods. Nirvana.

OK, let's say you're not drawn to exploring nature's hidden, beautiful gems. Imagine this scenario - You're strolling down the unknown city streets with your friend, enjoying the beautiful architecture, eating an ice cream and observing the passers-by faces. You visit bookstores along the way, chat with locals with their poor English and decide to rest in a popular coffeehouse. You're eating cheesecake, drinking red wine and listening to cool, folkish music in the background. You log on to Steemit and write about progress you're making with your new book and maybe share a few tips on how to stay focused or how to always come up with ideas for writing. You read beautiful stories from other members and share few words of encouragement and support, before calling it a day. New places and horizons are to be explored tomorrow. Nirvana x2.

That would be a cool lifestyle, isn't it? See, there's two things I can hardly stand

1. Having to work for someone else, on something I'm not passionate about and under their conditions
2. Spending too much time indoors and missing the world out there

Steemit appeared as a perfect opportunity for creating this free lifestyle - free from alarms, cubicles, angry bosses and customers, free from two-weeks/year holidays. The potential is limitless. We already have a lot of examples among the community of people using Steemit to support them in doing what they love, whether it be travelling the world, writing a book, DJing, sticking to a healthy lifestyle or reviewing their favorite video games. Depending on where you live, those extra bucks could be a nice bonus or even the only source of income enough at least to survive, if not to thrive.

In a country like Serbia, reward I get from posting and curating is higher than average salary. This frees me up to pursue my passion for creating my own web and mobile apps instead of working for other companies or customers. It also helps in leading more abundant lifestyle and dedicating time for hobbies, for friends and family. Being able to find your happiness and live the life you desire is the greatest gift of modern society. And most of us don't value it enough.

I can see a bright future for this platform and many new ones that will be built on STEEM blockchain technology.
