Unique visitors hmmm. A lot of my friends whom I invited to steemit have been having problems registering. It's either the site doesn't load or they are still awaiting confirmation and approval of their accounts after two weeks. I'm sure they are some of the unique visitors you talked about, who view steemit everyday hoping to join soon.

I believe there is a bug on the site.
