Well Steemians I'm sure you've all been watching the very volatile day SBD is having. We can't remember a day like it! After the past few days in which we've seen a correction and with it the price of Steem fall 25% and SBD by 45%, it's great to see them both recover so solidly. It's possible the correction was due to Steem and SBD gaining too quickly the other week and got a little ahead of itself. But we don't mind that at all, it just goes to show how bullish Steem is at the moment.
At the current time of writing Steem has returned to $1.16 and SBD is currently trading at $10.53. The fact that they both have managed to recover so quickly is also testament to how buoyant Steem is at the moment.
Steem has managed to lock in some very important gains in recent weeks and has built some excellent foundations for what will hopefully sustain it at a new default price of at least $1. The fact that it has taken its time to reach this strong position we see it at today means Steem has been clever and built things up slowly and steadily.
As for SBD well that seems to be acting like a wild animal at the moment and it's very difficult to work out where it will settle right now such is the volatile nature of the token. The price of SBD started around the $8 mark at 9am, it then rose steadily for a few hours and hit $12.27 just after 4pm and is now hanging around $10.50. It's been on quite a ride today but great to see it leap back into action again after the past few days where the bear was winning. But now the bull has returned! That's what we like to see.

I’d really like to know what’s going on with SBD. Are people pumping this so they can convert their SBD to Steem? It normally goes back down after a couple days of big pumping.
