Just got another 8000 Steempower rental thanks to @tytran so now my upvotes are worth over $1 each now which makes steemit very interesting now! + Hurricane proof and underground homes!

Thanks to Steemit User @tytran I've gotten another week of @minnowbooster rented steempower, around 8,200 of steempower that I can use to practice curation and to give out a lot more money in the form of upvotes. I will be able to upvote pots of high quality, but also to upvote comment which deserve it!

Now my upvotes are still around 70 cents even at 40% voting power and at full power it's like I'm giving out over $1.50 to people on posts and comments! It's a great feature of steemit and makes using steemit feel SO good when you can basically upvote a few people in developing nations and double their daily wages with the push of a button. I am able to give people a few dollars worth of upvotes a day, it is a great feeling to get to help others in the developing world have a form of income but then you also have to be strict about who you upvote to not get anyone accustomed to thinking they can get paid for low effort comments or they might start counting their chickens before they hatch! I see this a lot with steemit where people assume their comments or posts should be worth a certain amount, so please don't assume that and just try your best to deliver high quality content because that is all you can really do to increase your upvotes. Just make sure your content is high quality and just bring interesting info, images, and some of your own interesting ideas to our attention and do it consistently!

So here is one of my ideas for steemit I would like to bring to steemit's attention. Lets advertise steemit as a way for humanitarians to pay people while also making money for themselves with steempower! Let's market steempower as a way to make money AND to help others in the developing world. I believe we could even raise money for steemit funded hospitals & hospital ships. We should be more proactive to prevent human suffering, especially with this hurricane and the lack of hurricane proof housing and underground housing.... The comment I left which got some good attention, included photos of a Hurricane Proof dome home, and smaller cheaper hurricane proof dome homes . I have no idea why people don't live in underground houses near hurricane zones or at least have underground bomb shelters ready! Look at this man's hurricane proof dome home in Florida, everyone should have one of these if you're in a hurricane zone.

This particular dome home has already survived big hurricanes, and will probably survive Irma Just fine! It makes other houses in this area seem STRAIGHT UP irresponsible! Its like hey SORRY but you al LIVE in a hurricane zone! Just because there's no hurricane for a few years, doesn't mean you wont get one eventually! The predictable Hurricane comes and it makes people look like fools when someone DOES have a house that can withstand the hurricane even if it is a little more expensive, but IS it actually more expensive when you don't have top rebuild your entire home? It actually ends up being CHEAPER and SAVING you money! I just dont like humans going without shelter so i wish more would build basements that are comfortable enough to live in with backup power and food and backup satellite internet etc (if they live above sea level that is) So even if a dome home to withstand hurricanes is out of someones price range they can also build an underground home instead.

These are cool typhoon proof homes go for under $7000 So if these really are strong enough to withstand hurricanes, it's amazing why people don't buy these and at least just have them in their backyard just in case Maybe now people will look at these designs in those areas because having an emergency dome home or one of those steel bomb shelter tanks buried in their yard might be a great backup but honestly the underground home is looking more and more attractive but its a shame that after the hurricane people will just go back to business as usual, but maybe the next hurricane Jose will force people to get smarter!

And now I would like to show a solution for even the most poor people on those caribbean islands getting wrecked by the hurricane, cheap underground homes: The $50 Underground House BOOK series by Mike Oehler is something to look at!

There are ways to build yourself structures for $100 that will be resistant to hurricanes if built correctly and not below sea level! These may not work on islands which are completely below sea level but that's where the dome homes come in!

Have an underground Mansion for a fraction of the cost of an above ground structure!

And how about this for a forest home? Underground houses stay cool in the heat and stay warm in the cold and allow the ground above to be used for growing food if you need!

Mike Oehler who wrote these Underground House books should join steemit and blog from his great underground house and post updates about his great underground homes design! Maybe he can try to design an underground house that would be good for hurricane zones, one that is high up enough to not risk flooding but then also re enforced enough or deep enough underground to stay safe from the storm!

Now this thing wouldn't have any large trees in the caribbean to be attached to , hehe this would be rolling around during a hurricane but hey it might float! XD But I just wanted to show you all these really cool single person habitations that hang from a tree and believe it or not they have a bathroom and sink and can have solar panels and mini fridge and HDTv and internet.

But back to hurricane proof homes, here's another none-dome style hurricane resistant home but may not be cheap enough for island residents in the Caribbean, but which is still very cool or Florida residents (even Texas residents) looking for Hurricane/Flood resistant home designs.

Here is a Japanese Style Hurricane proof home that looks very unique and strong.

Found on the website Make it Right , Hitoshi Abe Atelier's Home is designed and built to be Hurricane Resistant.

Here in the Florida Keys another example of a Hurricane Proof Home. seriously guys, when you build based on Hurricanes you save yourself so much heartache headaches messes to clean up, flood damage, etc, so much work to clean up after floods and hurricanes so why not just build your house smarter?

Here is a more traditional LOOKING house but its made of concrete and is built to be hurricane resistant, probably very expensive compared to the small domes but still very much worth the extra sacrifice.

Another Hurricane Proof home that was built in Florida, this one is pretty famous as well and will most likely have few problems with Hurricane Irma

people rebuilding in texas and who live in any flood zone should also be building like this! Make the flood a part of life and have fun with it use jet skis to go to work for example. I mean if everyone in Houston has homes like this below, then the floods would be less of a tragedy and more of an inconvenience.

Well there would still be problems with the roads getting flooded etc, but we should maybe propose that all new homes in Florida or flood zones should be raised up on stilts and built to be hurricane resistant. It would allow people to relax and stay comfortable during these storms, and people should have bomb shelters buried underground just for times like this! I understand they must be waterproof and have a tall entrance/exit so you don't end up getting your bomb shelter flooded, but people in those Caribbean islands seem like they had nowhere to go once the storm destroyed all the structures around them! They should all have some sort of bomb shelter type underground house to hide in!

Now this place isnt very hurricane resistant at all lol its made of bamboo to be "eco friendly" in Bali Indonesia and i just had to throw it in here because it looked cool! :D

Sorry for the non hurricane proof home images, but this hotel came up in my Google Image Search of Hurricane proof Homes. That Hotel just came up and I had to go research it. Wow so many cool places I would like to visit or just study to replicate. I bet we could build these types of resorts very cheap in Ghana, I know @tj4real and @richforever might like to find hotel developers who could help create or upgrade Resorts on the coastline of Ghana, find existing hostels and upgrading them into a place like that!

Anyway the idea of raising money on steem to build actual structures is very interesting and powerful for me and I believe steemit would become invincible if it reached out into the Charity/Philanthropy/Humanitarianism world. I love the idea of the internet manifesting itself into the 3d world and steemit really links that 3d real world to the virtual internet world via cryptocurrency in a way never before possible in the past. The steem we earn gets converted to bitcoin and dollars and can be used to buy food or pay rent etc so this website produces real tangible results and i would really like to see Steemit users raising more and more money for users in need of surgery like @cryptopie in Philippines (who has been verified as being real and having a legitimate story by other steemit users in the Philippines) We could even raise money to build whole hospitals in parts of the world where people really do need them like in West Africa! Another possibility is raising money for a Hospital Ship which is something other charities raise money to operate like Africa Mercy, a converted cruise ship thats been made into a floating hospital. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MV_Africa_Mercy and we could have Steemit mercy and use it to promote Steemit to all of its patients and it could broadcast wifi. It could deliver packages to Steemit Users In Africa too!

When this Hospital Ship "Africa Mercy" comes into port, it becomes the most advanced hospital in all of West Africa. If steemit could raise the millions needed to get more Hospital Ships we could help a lot of people and generate a lot of great publicity for steemit! Steemit could be used as a way for Africans to signup for medical service and talk to doctors etc, it would be a great way to keep track of people for necessary medical records etc. So imagine if we paid for another hospital ship to sail around the world to developing nations ports where their service is needed, we could have wifi on the ship and broadcast wifi wherever we go and hand out smartphones and solar chargers to allow Africans to get online and earn money with steemit! We should turn a part of steemit into a legitimate charity organization with their own steemit accounts which allows money to be sent directly to the accounts of people who need it and not some third party! The blockchain will change charity and already has been, and as people realize that they can send money directly to individuals in developing nations, then they will use crypto like steemit instead of donating to big traditional charities which just steal money like Unitheft (Unicef) (and helping steemit users in developing nations is a form of natural selection, basically rewarding those smart enough to get online to help themselves and their countries like @tj4real in Ghana he gets on steemit and we reward him simply for the act of being here! Just showing up alone is good enough! Crypto will allow wealth to be distributed via decentralized free market to fund a global middle class which will have many leaders and @tj4real and @richforever will be leaders of this new Crypto Class in Ghana!

When I sent SteemDollars (SBD) to @tj4real in Ghana, Africa to help him make some Steemit branded T shirts with Steemit Logos printed on them, I was able to send him the SBD almost instantly without any transaction fees and he was able to use that money in real life! And whether or not he has fees for exchanging SBD/Steem to Bitcoin to local fiat currency is another story but also very important and we will get to hear about the adventure of how @tj4real and @richforever in West Africa get to exchange their SBD/steem to Bitcoin and then how they maybe use local foreign currency exchanges to get cash from Bitcoin. Or maybe they are starting to use the Bitcoin as cash itself since Africans prefer a strong currency over failing local currencies, are Africans are used to having to use many different currencies for many African Nations PLUS Euro AND US dollar maybe even British Pound and so being able to just use one global digital currency, Bitcoin , is actually an improvement for Africans! And when it comes to Charity or helping someone buy food or medical aid, Being able to send money directly to someone in need is what Steemit can REALLY do better than ANY cryptocurrency right now! If you wanted to sent just a few dollars to someone affected by Flooding or Hurricanes you would have to pay $5 to send bitcoin no matter if you're only sending $1 or 50 cents due to the currently very high Bitcoin transaction fees!! And so since steem is free to send and receive money with $0 transaction fees, steem is the only way to easily send $1 or 10 cents or any micro transaction without a fee, you can even send fractions of a penny with steem! Those microtransactions add up and Steem blockchain is the only cryptocurrency that has FREE transactions which only take under 2 minutes so it will be the method of choice for humanitarian aid as no one has to worry about foreign bank accounts or wars between governments frozen accounts etc.

So again thank you to @tytran for delegating to me over 8K in steempower for the second week in a row, and for sending me the Steemit hat with my custom steemit username stitched in! And the steemit Tshirt & Hoodie & Mug and the Ethereum Mining rig that will go well with the ethereum mining rig from other san diego steemit user @higomex who dropped off an Ethereum mining computer for us to Mine on, and then I also got another cool gift from another local San Diego Bitcoiner @silvrbit who got me a Ledger Nano S, a hardware Bitcoin Wallet. So go check them out if you're in San Diego or Southern California and give them a follow and comments! Local connections are important right now while steemit is small! We can stake our claims to becoming the "steemit guy" or "steemit girl" in your local area so people will associate you with steemit and bitcoin before someone else does! If you really want to jin the steemit team, then you need to put yourself out there wearing that steemit T shirt and other merch and flying the steemit flags, with steemit logos all over your car , holding those steemit signs, and make posts showing it! Imagine associating yourself with facebook before facebook became popular! Imagine how ahead of the times you would end up looking if you went around promoting BITCOIN back 6 years ago! Imagine if you went around door to door telling people about bitcoin trying to give people $1 bitcoins when they were only $1....everyone you would have talked to would think you were a financial prophet! So start promoting Steem now while its still around $1 because Steem will be$10 soon then $100 and then $1000 and everyone you told about steem will see that you were trying to make them rich! You will gain respect and reputability as your advice turns out to be correct! People don't get many chances to 10x or 100x their money like with Bitcoin or Steem, so start promoting Steemit NOW before it moons in price and popularity just like Bitcoin!

Just go into dedicated hardcore steemit warrior mode by taking photos with yourself in the steemit T shirt, then you WILL earn the followers and the attention, you WILL earn the whale and dolphin upvotes and then you will end up In the club making money as a content creator. Some believe there is only a limited amount of room for people to make those $100 posts on steemit, when that is not true, it's just that very few people actually produce good content here! It's the Pareto principle! 20 percent of the people produce 80 percent of all the hard work! So when you see a small minority of whales making all the money, for the most part its because they deserve it and wrote those high quality posts to EARN those followers and those upvotes! So if you want some money from posting blogs and comments here on Steemit, you should try posting and get a following instead of arguing about the way in which steemit rewards its users....

It's a free market and we dont have many users yet so it may seem like a small few are getting al the big upvotes but you are free to buy steempower so you can control big upvotes too! And soon many new whales will join and new groups of people will form and new stars will rise, new users will start getting bigger and bigger upvotes like we've never seen before! Imagine people getting $10,000 upvotes! People already make good money from just our current 400,000 or so accounts or around 30,000 active daily users so imagine when we get millions and millions of users here by next year, hundreds maybe thousands of new whales with $100 upvotes, lots and lots of new people will be getting paid! This party has only just begun! Stake your claim today by trying harder to post good content more often OR just buy some steempower before steem goes past $2 each!
