We know that Mark Zuckerberg takes task every new year.
He does it to improve him as a person and be more knowledgeable.
This year also took some resolution and one of them is to understand cryptocurrency.

Real reasons why Mark is interested in cryptocurrency?

People are addicted to facebook, whatsapp and other social networking, now if people are getting paid for doing that. It will be deadliest combination, which steemit has proved.

One more thing to focus here is that, he is aware of the social networking is being hot topic in blockchain.

Steemit has proved that social networking is possible on Blockchain, so it is threat to facebook. Now people are paid for every like, comment on Steemit , so peolple are spending less time on facebook.

If we put in ourself in this situation then we are not spending time on facebook, but on steemit, reason is simple to earn some money. These things and trends are collected by huge facebook team, they have keen eye on it.

Specially there are more upcoming platforms like EOS, which are more scaleable . EOS can support large scale application like facebook, as per their white paper.

Steem and EOS teams are small and still they are able to achieve this, so facebook can achieve more and easy because of the huge team of highly experienced developers.

One last thing we can see that, in past if there is any social network which is growing, mark has bought it. Like whatsapp, instagram and many others. Now if any platform which gives money for gives money for post like comment then it's going to be on radar of Mark.
