He's using the strategy in the post, but being quite selective with the #utopian-io posts he picks.
I've just submitted one but it's already had a nice vote prior to the utopian one which will come in a day or two - you just have to beat the @utopian-io vote. #sndbox posts might be more your cup of tea :)
However, if this is not your bag then I would focus on league 2!

These posts are likely to be approved (you can even check inside for the 'your submission has been approved' message), and will at some point in the next day or 2 be voted on by @utopian-io - The main account for the application.
The vote size will vary depending on the type of submission - Translation, Analysis, Development etc.
At present, it's something like $60 for an Analysis contribution. The key to curating for rewards is to be ahead of the big votes, and this is an easy one to beat :)
