An Important message for the Steemit community.

Hello Steemians,
It's been a few days since I began to explore the Steem network, and the best I can understand is that Steemit was created to empower people. It provides a platform to everybody to share their thoughts, write great articles, post amazing photographs, and at the same time, learn from what others are doing. And in return what are we supposed to do? We were supposed to do very simple things like writing posts, curating others' work, provide valuable feedback by commenting, and inviting our friends to join. In short, anything possible for us to do which can make Steemit grow bigger and better.

Steemit was meant to be a solution of the problems we face in real life like talent not getting the deserved attention, people not helping each other, and manipulation by those who are powerful. But it has become the exact opposite, really good articles go unnoticed most of the time, we are not helping each other either, and the biggest problem is manipulation by the whales of the network for their own benefit. It didn't take me too long to understand what was happening here. Those who joined earlier have collected a lot of Steem Power which gives them control over many things, and there are too many bots too which provide upvote and resteem service in exchange for SBDs. I've tried those bots too. While some of those whales and bots are doing a good job and contributing to the network, many of them are too greedy and self-centered to care about others. Many of them upvote their own posts and earn good rewards, while those who work hard end up earning nothing.

All this needs to be changed, and that's why I have created the Minnow Self Help Group. As more and more people will join this project, we will become powerful enough to bring change in the community for better. Now, the power is concentrated as a few individuals own a lot of SP, our goal will be to dilute that power so that we can stop abuse and manipulation. In this group, everyone will be able to promote their articles to a bigger audience and if the content is good and unique, then they will definitely be to get more attention and upvotes. This will benefit all of us as we will be the ones who will get curation rewards and not the bots and whales; moreover, the need for paying money for upvotes and resteems will get eliminated. This will give us all a level playing field.
