Will Steemit Beat Crowdfunding?
You may be asking yourself, what is crowd funding? Its where you may open a Kick star or Patreon for supporters to donate to you so you can bring better content. Say you want a better camera for vlogging or photography, or you want a better PC for making art or gaming. But, because on this site, people can FOR FREE upvote your posts and you get money. Question is, why have crowdfunding when people can support you for free on here?
Most importantly, people can make enough off of Steemit alone to blog full time, but it won't happen instantly, you most likely have to gain a following in order to do that. Like I know it will take time before I gain a huge following, but I am just finding ways to make money online until I can find a job, being broke is so depressing.
I have had a Patreon since last summer, no one has donated, also with Patreon, you get paid by the month. So say someone donated $10, today, you won't get it until July 15. But with Steemit, when ever your posts get money, you get paid weekly. And with all the fees, most people may not can afford to donate to your Patreon. Here on Steemit, it costs nothing to make and account. So do you think Steemit can replace crowd funding.
Also there is GoFundMe, most people who use that site is in need of medical help because they can't afford what ever treatment they need, it could take for ever for them to reach what ever goal they set. And ties back to not being able to afford to donate. So they can post about their issues, people can upvote, comment, resteem to boost them.
Tell me what you think in the comments, be sure to upvote this post and re steem, I'd really like to know if Steemit will make crowdfunding extinct.
Never really thought about this and its definitely a cheaper alternative. With everyone resteeming and upvoting the product or service it can surely be distruptive to kickstarter.
And also you can cash out when ever you want, were with Patreon you get paid by the month
It could have all these great purposes, I could see it replacing marketplaces for digital products like music or design resources. I myself am trying it out by giving away my music for free :)

I guess it can be used for this! I think of you come up with a good idea and make a nice post about it, it could work! Or a "fundmyidea"-tag maybe?
