I call that "The Mushroom of Death" Why?
It's an explosion but not just an ordinary explosion, it's one that comes from the detonation of an atomic bomb and it has the shape of a mushroom. It's so deadly that even those far away who sees this mushroom are affected.

A nuclear explosion is that explosion that occurs from the result of the very fast release of energy from a high speed nuclear reaction.

This explosion produces very disastrous radioactive debris and plenty of radiation.

History
This type of explosion was first on a testing ground in New Mexico in the United States, in an area called the White Sandstone Missile range. It involved the full scale testing of a fission atomic bomb and it's yield was equivalent to over 20000 tons of TNT.

After this test, during the World War II, it was a very sad day for Japan city of Hiroshima on August 6, 1945, as a uranium based nuclear bomb called Little Boy was dropped on the city and it had a blast of about 15 Kilotons and it caused a destruction of the city and its occupants.

Few days later on August 9, the same year, a plutonium based atomic bomb called the Fat Man was dropped on the city of Nagasaki in japan and it had a blast value of 21 Kilotons and most of the city people died and those who survived had a terrible story to recount.

Effects of these explosions
It's very disastrous as these nuclear explosions have the same blast and thermal radiation just as any other bomb but the energy that's produced here is a million times more and the temperature was high to the extent it melted rocks in megaKelvin. The deadly part of the weapon isn't the temperature or the blast but the fact that after the initial blast, the cloud of the nuclear radiation travels from the blast area to surrounding areas casting a detrimental impact to life forms after the heat waves have stopped. It contaminated crops, caused deformity in children and mutations especially concer across many generations.

Those who saw the bombing from afar were blinded by the bright light and suffered retinal cancer. The air was ionized and this radiation could penetrate through buildings and affect the surrounding villagers.

For years, they kept on battling with the effects of these clouds and it wasn't a pretty sight at all.

Well, it was after this two events on Japan that the World War II came to a halt as the Japanese gave an unconditional surrender on August 14th the same year seeing the power of the United States and what they possessed.

The Japanese emperor could not bear to see his people suffer from those effects anymore.

He said

I cannot bear to see my innocent people suffer any longer,’ he said. ‘Ending the war is the only way to restore world peace and to relieve the nation from the terrible distress with which it is burdened.’
