Earlier today I was having this constant headache, like most of us will do, I decided to take paracetamol, which actually helped to subdue it....now come to think of it,headache actually happens to be a medium our body communicates to us or should I say it's a symptom that either malaria or typhoid is close by..now I have decided to subdue it by taking a painkiller...surely the pain killer has done nothing to scare away the threat,as such there is every probability that I might break down due to malaria or typhoid.......Now let's liken this to our vehicles...one symptoms we all are conversant with is OVERHEATING
. Like a human the vehicle also gets sick and also sends out symptoms to the car owner so he/she can be forewarned and be proactive...now many car owners have been blinded by many roadside mechanics into taking pain killers too to subdue the problem for the moment, with that I promise you it will definitely keep occurring..some painkillers that our roadside mechanics give to our vehicle is...removal of thermostat, running fan direct and doubling the size of the radiator which definitely creates more harm than good because it will tamper with the vehicles operational mode.. As a practicing AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN I would strongly advise that when your vehicle overheats the FIRST thing to do is to run A COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST. After verifying that the problem isn't from there, you can now check for a poor turning fan or a bad thermostat that stays closed or a radiator for leakage. If it happens to be a fan problem...change the bad fan, if it happens to be a bad thermostat...change the thermostat, if it happens to be a leakage from the radiator...either you weld it or buy a new radiator. That way you enjoy efficiency and active response from your device(vehicle) . Hope I helped one or two people out there.
