Bee Bee Kitchen & Bar — An Unpopular Silent Killer of Good Taste

They say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I agree to a certain degree, but I think beauty is in the tongue of the beholder. Like, how on earth would I be craving to finish three plates of food worth 10k in a restaurant? Let me take you to an unpopular restaurant in my city, hidden in its shades but silently killing men with good food to the point that some men prefer eating there than in their homes. I can imagine how women would be envying this kitchen, as it's a magnet.

Once you eat one, you'll definitely want to eat more. Like, the food has a different and professional taste compared to all those sold by women in my locality. She makes her preparation and time expensive, but the issue is, you can pass this place without knowing it's where your mouth can find peace. What's this place all about?. It's the real definition of kitchen glory. Let me take you in.

Location and Background

Bee Bee's Kitchen and Bar is a mini classical restaurant in my city. It's classified as a restaurant because of the activities done there, the services, and the things sold. It's actually located in a reserved area, close to a pharmacy called ABG. Its location fits the description below. 👇👇

It's still a baby restaurant, as it hasn't been in existence for a year. They started operation earlier in January 2025. Their location is right on point because beside where they are situated, big men go out to purchase food and can go as far as passing estates just to visit a nice restaurant. This saved a few the stress of transportation, as Bee's Kitchen is the only prominent restaurant in my area. You'll need a 30-minute trek to see the next one.

We have other local restaurants, but these reputable men can't be seen in those places, as they are not classy and don't fit the people living in that locality. The place is independently owned by a beautiful young lady who's an influencer on Instagram. She didn't want to be identified with that place so her fans wouldn't know her side hustle. So I decided not to include her in my picture. She told me because I referred to myself as being a content writer who wants to promote her business. So, she remains anonymous as the manager.

Ambience and Atmosphere

Every beat of music can touch your weary soul once you step a foot in this place. There are speakers mounted by the corners of the building to give customers a blend of music and food. The music has a control room from within. The interior style is just so catchy. The ambience of the place will tell you it's a no-nonsense restaurant. Let's talk about the interior style.

The walls are painted with white and black designs. On its exterior, there's this beautiful pattern made with grass, which even makes it more unique. It has comfortable lighting during the day and at night, as not everyone wants to be visibly seen at night with white lights. Talking about comfort in sitting areas, the chairs are placed in style as if it's a café in school. Even though the chairs aren't soft, they are comfortable and easy to control.

They have temporary outdoor seating at night, which is dismissed by day. The only exterior seating area is the one by the class door of the place.

Menu and Specialities

They have no printed menu for customers to make their choice. They give their menu with mouth once a customer visits. These are a list of specialities they have in this place. Let's talk about their cuisine first before diving into drinks. They serve assorted only when requested as they don't keep it handy due to the visibility of the place.

Food Quality and Presentation

The food quality is top-notch. From the pictures shown below, you can see that this white soup is still fresh and not one that has stayed for weeks or days, if possible. The size of food here is quite moderate as per plate. I feel it's big for the price, as most restaurants won't put out this kind of goat meat for this price. The taste is different. This is the first place I've eaten White soup with so much pepper. This is how white soup should taste so that you feel the joy that comes from it when it's hot.

They do inform people of the nature of their white soup to avoid having cases of triggered ulcers or something.They may not have the best way to serve white soup professionally, but they did their best. The placement of the garri and soup was just so accurate, and I was given a wash-hand basin, serviettes and toothpicks to pick food particles after eating.

I was stationed under a fan to give me the desired comfortability. You'll definitely be treated as a king in the place, as they value their customers.

Service and Staff

Their rendered services are top-notch and professional in the sense that, they give attention to details and ensure that they control their crowd in cases where there are more than one customer. The speed at which they work in preparing or dishing out meals is commendable.

It's their friendly approach for me. They won't pester you when you come in. They'll allow you to relax before meeting you. The manager was the one serving me. Just imagine the level of humility. While I was recording my video for steem-atlas, she met a customer who sat outside, waiting to be attended to. Her friendly approach made the man fall for her, not knowing she's the manager. They treat everyone as equals there and give no preferential treatment to anyone as long as they are eating in the same place, except in cases of consideration.

Pricing and Value

The quality does justify the price. It would be painful if you eat a cheap meal but you don't like it. You can't reverse this because you've purchased the food. How good it is when you know you're going for quality even though it's moderately expensive? The prices aren't scary. They are affordable, though not as affordable as the common restaurants. I think the 3000 naira I used in purchasing this meal justifies the price. The quantity and quality can be attested to.

Facilities

They have an enlarged space for parking and a model of payment point where people who wants to make payment in dollars can do so. They accept cryptocurrency here. Restrooms aren't made available because of space, quite unfortunate. They also have a space where bar tenders respond to customers and where food servers too, respond or dish out food to customers. This place is called their deck or counter and is only be accessible to staff. They have a space where this cooking takes place, restricted to customers.

Special Features

They film latest TV shows on their screens. During football tournaments, they film this to attract customers. I think this is the only special feature that's done here. I don't know why they have refused to go out of their shell by doing themed nights so people can know the place and the services rendered there.

Personal Experience

Unlike most managers, Bee's manager tends to serve the people she's working for, despite her reputation as an anonymous influencer. She's the most friendly and respectful person I've met. She was just like...Whatever assistance you need, let me know. This was when I told her that I want to take pictures of her place. She was just too open and didn't ask many questions, knowing fully well that it's for a just cause.

I love the place because of the attention and treatment I was given by the manager. When people have your personal interest at heart, flowing with them won't be difficult. The food is quite tasty, and I can confidently say this is one of the best local restaurants I've visited. Like I said at the onset, food sold there drives men crazy.

She just knows the right ingredient to put in at the right time. I'm not a fan of eating outside because I'm always afraid of how they prepare their foods, but they have proven beyond reasonable doubt that our safety, satisfaction, comfortability and tastes are prioritised. My personal experience is shown in the video below.
