Its not that hard, i use gimp. Once you repeat the steps its very easy. Besides a good presentation helps you to get more upvotes and comments!!
I use gimp, almost same apps. Photoshop and gimp are great not just for photos but for fonts too, you can even create unique .gif files to enhance your posts.
